Root Battery life with frozen stock apps

So I got myself a Razr, not a Maxx, for an upgrade coming from the og Droid. Been a little over a week, and so far, very happy with the phone. I finally took the plunge and rooted today. I installed Titanium Backup and froze alot of the factory apps like my verizon, nfl mobile, netflix, slacker...etc. My question is, will this increase my battery life, even a little? I know alot of them were listed in running services before I froze them, and the only reason I rooted was to freeze them so that they wouldn't help to kill my battery. I know I must unfreeze them when the update comes(already ran ota rootkeeper as well), but has anyone else rooted and just frozen the factory apps they don't use and noticed a battery improvement? Thanks for any input anyone has!

slacker always was running in the background when I would check my running apps. so freezing that one might give you a tiny bit more juice.

the others I don't know.

Social stuff seems to drain battery. I also froze My Gallery and installed QuickPic as My Gallery used to drain battery. I am getting 17hrs battery life at least.

By social stuff, do you mean "social location" and "social networking"? I use facebook and twitter, and didn't want to have them affected. If soc. loc. and soc. netw. don't affect them, i'll freeze them too.

You can use Facebook and Twitter apps with the social stuff frozen. Seriously, though, don't expect freezing apps to be huge in battery life. Screen time by far drives the battery.

Want to really kill your battery? Try 4G tethering...

I agree with PM1066, *I* have never seen a jump in battery life from simply freezing apps. I freeze just to reduce the annoyance of them being there. Screen timeouts, the timing on widgets and on synced items is where I look to increase battery life.

In previous droids you can use root explorer and add " .bak " to the end of the files you don't want and it disables them without having to delete them.
Make sure that your social apps and weather apps aren't set to update every 15 minutes and you should be OK.
