Battery life

So anyone think one of the next few updates will improve battery life at all? I'm not complaining big time, but if I'm not working and medium usage, I'm down over 10% an hour. Just seems excessive to me.

I had the bionic, and the ota was suppose to help battery life. I'd say it gave me about 10-20% more battery after the ota. Pretty good to me!

there are several factors in the software that could effect that. I don't know all of them. Some would be:

* how the system accurately reads AND displays the battery stats.
* the efficiency of the hand-offs between the different radios when swapping from 4G/3G/wifi
* Proper use of any built in governing architecture for the processors (a lot of custom kernels shut one core down while the screen is off which in my experience has really really helped battery life)
* Improvements on the charging system which would also go together with my first bullet. This is probably why you see a lot of people saying "hey i can't charge my phone past 99%"

The reason my battery life is bad is because i use this phone. Too bad they can't really make the screen use less power with any software updates

I found that if you go to settings & under data hit the more option & turn the NFC off it saves some battery Life
