Battery Monitor

Recently by my wife's and my LG G3 has been chewing through battery like crazy. Where it used to lose 8-10% overnight, mine is now losing 30 -40%. I'm looking for an app to help me figure out if it's a rouge app or not.

I've tried GSAM Battery Monitor, but is just lists the culprits as "Android Kernal" and "Android OS", which isn't incredibly helpful. Any suggestions on something that could help me track this down?
 
I'm not sure if there is other more reliable app on checking battery statistics other than GSam Battery Monitor. What comes to mind is that maybe you have a failing battery. Battery does deteriorate after a lot of charging cycle so maybe buying a new one is an option for you. If not you can try checking apps that keeps syncing. The usual suspect is facebook, twitter and probably messenger so if you have them try uninstalling them for a few days and see how it goes.
 
Assuming you are un-root-ed ...
  • Wipe Cache Part ion deleting all temporary data and not touching anything else.
  • Try running in Safe Mode disabling all apps you added without uninstalling y them.
If the problem stops it is caused by an app that you added.

If the problem is still there you probably have a battery that will need replacing.

I've thought about a new battery, but is seems awful coincidental that it's happened on both our phones pretty much at the same time. I don't recall an update off the top of my head, though.
 
Could this be related to a weak or no cell phone signal where the phones are located overnight?
My battery drain while not as severe as your's shows a high percentage for Android System, Kernel and Phone Radio. The cell signal at my house is fairly weak (one bar) and sometimes I get no signal. If I put my phone in Airplane Mode overnight I get maybe 1% battery drain overnight.
 
Well, if there are two phone then its either both phone's battery started failing at the same time or both phone are having bad signal reception that is causing the huge battery drain so if that is the case then what srglassw said about turning Airplane Mode on will help.

We seem to get a pretty good signal, and we haven't moved or anything from when I was getting less than 10% drain over night. I doubt that's the issue but I can try the airplane mode overnight and see what happens.
 
Ok, so I've got the 3C up and running. Overnight it showed me that Android OS was the main killer, followed oddly by Bluetooth. I've got it turned on, but it's not connected to anything overnight. I'm back to debating another factory restore. Last time I did that it seemed to help for a while.

I'm not quite sure how to do this. I know where the cache data is on for each program but wasn't aware you could do it all at once. I'm also not sure how to get into safe mode, but I assume Uncle Google can help me.
