battery question

I want some opioins i noticed as of yesterday my android os woukd stay around 20 25% under light use and its normally at 5-10% heavy use my screen use is usually the high one and thats been staying between 10-20

No new apps or anything have been downloaded


And my battery had been dieing really quick could something be keeping it awake that wasnt before
Im on 4.1.1 and also noticed my battery drained like 15% throughout the night as i forgot to plug it in and it normally drains between 2-5%

How long have you had the phone chap? It takes a few cycles or more for Android to learn stats, but it sounds like you're having wake lock issues. Post a screen shot of your battery graph for us.

Ive had it for 5 or 6 months and pictures are coming

There are a couple of apps you can get and run, that will tell you what's "wake locking" your phone and preventing it from sleeping. Better battery stats is one, not sure on the other. Just Google for it, I'm sure you'll find out more than I can tell you.

The one was right after restarting the phone and the other one is an hour after at 92% with about 10 minutes of browsing the forums

Hm. It doesn't look too bad in terms of wake locks, something does wake the phone, but not at an insane rate. The drain would be worse if you were on 3G instead of wifi, that's for sure.

It still might be worth getting better battery stats (think you can get it free from xda forum) and letting that look at what's loading after a while. It could just be your phone's having a rough couple of days or so. Don't forget, temperature affects battery life, they don't like the cold

Ill take a look at better battery stats and maybe if all else fails see how many phone reacts over the next couple of days. Cause like 2 days ago i got 1d and some odd hours with decent years browsing the internet, constant texts, bunch of phone calls, and checking facebook might be why i find this weird.

I would like to come back to this and note a couple things that i believe fixed it

First i keep my phone on cdma seeing as lte isnt around here the lte/cdma option is useless and that had swicthed back on

Second my facebook app set to refresh every hour when it was set to never after watching better battery stats and look at my battery graphs it has seemed my phone was waking ever hour
