Help Battery runs down faster after update?

Mar

Well-Known Member
Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone had their battery drain faster after their first phone update? I am on 3 UK if that helps anyone. I am not 100% sure but i think it used to last longer. Now it seems to just drain faster after the update.

I didn't notice battery was worse on alf6. That's very old though. 3 are massively behind.

Yeap they are. Which one is the current one? What are the updates on the newer versions? Anything massively improved?

After lf6 was lfb then lg1 then lg6 then lg8.

Stability fixes etc etc. Brightness in notifications area.. some browser improvements

I'll be honest, I wouldn't hold out much hope. The F in LF6 means "June". You're getting it in August

Not that I understand what any of this really means, but can someone please tell me all of the most current numbers and codes so I can tell if I'm current? Does it really matter in the long run if I'm waiting for the new OTA update? I'm having some reception/dropped call issues along with software stopping working or freezing up periodically. Would love to know if this is a software or hardware related issue.

Mods feel free to move post if needed.

Sometimes updates improve your experience and other times they don't really affect much. Although at any iteration of operating system you shouldn't really have loads of freeze ups. If they are very bad I suggest chasing down the specific problem to see if there are solutions for it

Yep same for me, since that update the battery has been really bad :( It seems unlikely another update will come out in the next couple of weeks which is annoying as they are now several versions behind the unbranded firmware.

Even in airplane mode there is a noticeable battery drain with the phone showing awake time chunks when it should be sleeping.. argh
