Help Battery Stats Messed up with 4.2.2

Hi Guys.
I've been facing this issue ever since I updated from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2 ( skipped 4.2.1)
My N7 is stock, unrooted.
I've a habit of turning off the tab after every use.
Each time when I turn it on, battery usage time resets to zero instead of resuming from where it was earlier.
Hence I'm unable to see the cumulative battery life.
I've recharged to 100% a few times since the update, but this issue has not gone away.
Also, use% shows android system, media server, etc with a high %age & the screen use % as zero!
This never happened with 4.1.2.
I'm going nuts trying to figure this out; numerous searches have yielded no answer .
Could you plz help?
Is there some setting that I need to activate in 4.2.2 to get cumulative battery stats?
TIA

Just checked my battery - powered down and restarted. Battery stats are the same as before powerdown. And before you ask I am on a stock unrooted Nexus 32gb which upgraded last week to 4.2.2.

The battery stats reset themselves every time you unplug from a power source or turn the device on/off when the battery is relatively full. How full is the battery when you're power cycling?

You might get accurate stats using another app, like GSAM Battery monitor or similar?

Hmm, battery level was in the high 90's when the reset happened.
So,acc to your observation, once I'm in the 80's the reset shouldn't happen...
Let me check this out.
I do have the DrPower app, which is much more detailed & accurate, but it too showed a reset to zero.
But I never faced such issues when I was in 4.1.2 which is why I'm wondering whats wrong.
