Battery Temperature Too Low

I plugged in my phone to charge and a message popped up that that battery temperature was too low to charge. This has never happened. The only thing I can think of is that when I'm running, the sweat from my armband is somehow seeping into the battery compartment and getting some moisture in it. Should I take apart the phone and clean it, or get a new battery? I'm at 20% battery life and it will not charge.

Time to get a new battery, if the battery is removable try to use an external battery charger. I have one battery that doesn't charge on my HTC One, but it charges normally on wall charger.
