Battery use after AT&T Update

After getting the OTA update it seemed I was getting better battery use with the stock Samsung battery so I tested it today. The update is Baseband 1747UCLH9

I came off charge at 8am and used the GS3 as normal including listening to music, reading email, checking facebook, reading web pages, listening to ESPN, on and off during the day. I wouldn't call this a heavy use day but a little more that average. Here is a screen print of the battery use.

This is quite an improvement over what I got prior to this update. :) Has anyone else noticed this change?

If I use my phone like that I'm lucky to get 3 hours.

I'm lucky to get 12 hours with everything shut off and leaving it in standby 90% of the time. It's crazy how many of these phones have wild battery issues.

Which OTA did you get? My phone is only a few days old but I've not gotten anything today.

I listed what the update was above.

There seems to be some stock batteries that have problems but you probably haven't had enough charge/discharge cycles to get the best use yet.

I had some less battery life the 1st few days but now the use listed above would have me at around 25% left at 8 hours which I considered pretty good. This 1st test produced a 50% increase in battery life, if it continues I will be quite happy.

I updated Tuesday and have noticed better battery life as well. Thought maybe it was my imagination but I have read other reports like yours.

I have been checking the AT&T server but it always says "communication with the server has failed....will check again in 48 hours"

When you updated did you have to reload all your apps? I'd almost prefer not to if that is the case. Probably just wait for the real JB update. If it is a painless update now then I'd do it.

Ok for all of you trying to find out why you cant connect read this! I finally fixed this after a few months of not being able to connect. The issue for me was that i upgraded from an iphone and part of AT&T thought i was still an iphone! After a few discussions way up the tree at att support i went down and got a new sim card. it appears that when my upgrade was done they put the same sim card in my GS3...and now after the new sim card I am able to do my upgrade to the new baseband. if your software is up to date it will not say could not connect to update server, it will say "current software is up to date"

Hope this helps all you out there, took me forever to figure it out.
