Help Battery warranty questions

A few months ago, I purchased a spare battery for my Galaxy S3. For a while, it worked fine, but the last week or so, every time the spare is in my phone, it will randomly reset or power off completely, even with a full charge. With my normal battery (at least, what I assume is the normal battery), it works just fine.

Is this something that would be covered by Samsung's warranty, or should I just plan to buy a new battery?

I've heard accounts of people taking the battery back to a carrier store & swapping out w/no issues whatsoever. As w/anything else,YMMV depending on the store/personnel/carrier policy/etc...

Also, this battery has a 1YR mfg warranty,so,you should be covered either way you go.

The obvious question is whether you bought a genuine Samsung battery from a reputable supplier - there are a lot of fakes around.

I would take it into a repair store and have them test it for you. They may just swap it out for you like Kolio said.

Well, I can't say for sure, but I think it is genuine. I bought it from shopandroid.com during a sale late last year, and the packaging looked genuine, but I know that's no guarantee. The one I purchased earlier off amazon.com was clearly not, and that one got returned.
