BB type of spell correct?

I had a BlackBerry a couple years ago and it had a great spell correct tool. You could manually add words to it too such as u = you or im = I'm.
I used to use it quite a lot. Is there anything out there that i can do this with? I found 1 app but it was $10! And the keyboard was terrible.
Why do they all change the keyboard? I wish i could keep it and just add a customizable spell check. Anyone out there that knows anything?

Perfect keyboard (paid version) has the option of adding shortcuts, which is pretty much what you want.

I haven't tried any, since I personally don't need them, but the option is there if I ever need it.

Perfect keyboard is $2.75 on the market.

Anyway, you could also get Smart Keyboard trial, which is free and has full features, but has a "nag screen"; from what I've heard, the nag screen barely pops up.

I don't think there is a separate app to just bring you autotext, most come with a keyboard replacement.
