Hello and welcome to the forums. Can I ask what do you mean when you say BEAM music .

O OK can I ask do both phones have the features and are they both enabled
If I guessed the right models ... Samsung I9500 Galaxy S4 vs. Samsung I9295 Galaxy S4 Active - GSMArena.com ... they both have NFC.

You need to be in the app at the time with that particular track selected. Then you touch the phones back to back while they are both awake.
On the sending phone it should say "touch to beam" and you might need to confirm receipt on the receiving phone. Be advised that while it's cool, it's terribly slow. Much easier to set up a local network share and use airdroid or ES File to copy the files back and forth.
