Beautiful Widgets Clock Sticking

I have the beautiful smaller home widget on my default home screen. I'm using LauncherPro. The last two days, I've noticed that the clock gets stuck. Right now, the clock on the taskbar says 12:15, for example, and the widget says 12:06. I read in a different post to remove and re-add the widget, so I did that, but it has obviously been sticking again since. Any advice?

Try disabling it. If you want to run a manager that's totally up to you, but it's not really necessary. The short version is Android was designed to run on mobile devices, and handles it's memory just fine; when it runs low it will free up space.

Thanks for your quick responses, HD. I've gone back and forth on the task manager question as I've read the very strong and very different opinions here. Radioshack installed Advanced Task Killer when I bought the phone. I didn't know anything at that point, coming from a Blackberry. Then I did some research and deleted it. Everything was fine without it. I rooted my phone last week and was reading some articles about beenfits of rooting, and Auto Memory Manager was recommended in one of the articles as a way to increase battery life.

Anyway, I just uninstalled Auto Memory Manager. I'm currently looking at my phone and seeing 12:50 on the widget at 12:53 on the status bar. I'll try removing and re-adding the widget again.

So far so good. Both clocks showing 1:02. I really appreciate your help, HD. I'll come back if the problem starts up again.

Thanks,
e

I am sad to report that my status bar currently says 2:54 while my widget says 2:27. Any other suggestions on what might be causing this problem?

I have this happen once in a great while. Today was the 3rd time ever as a matter of fact.

I can tell you its not your launcher because I've had it happen before I started using launcher pro. (Which is awesome BTW ) It happens to smaller home and home as well.

Rebooting your phone should do the trick. Hope that helps.

This has happened to me a few times, not with Beautiful Widgets, but with the Weather Forcast widget that has the clock on it.

I use Launcher pro too. The only way I've found to make it work again is by removing the widget and put it back on. A restart does work too, but it has been stuck again after restarting - so it's just quicker to remove the widget and add it back.

Lol. I had the opposite happen today. I removed it and put it back 3 times before is just tried rebooting. :-)

After reading this thread... I just looked at my phone and the clock is stuck again! It's becoming annoying now!

I have no auto task killers. The only task managers I have are the System Monitor app, and ES task manager.
