This past weekend I have been getting calls from people at all hours of the day and night. From different cities in California. I have never given out. my number publicly and know no one from. Cali. Was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen before. To much of a coincidence to say nope wrong number. Any thoughts or ideals?

Check you other social networks plus forum accounts. If you have an account to ebay or cl take it down if you don't need it anymore.

I had that problem when I posted an ad and gave my contact number. When they saw my picture, I've been getting weird ass perverted calls from strangers. ಠ_ಠ

I figured out they was calling my Google voice number and I never gave out that number to anyone. Heck just used it for the voice mail text. So will he changing the number.

If it's your GV number you can block them, just mark them as spam. Of course, if it's a ton of them that may still not be the best solution... You must have gotten a recycled number.

Were the calls people who misdialed, or spammers? You can check 800 notes or its ilk to find out. If it's spammers, they use predictive dialing anyway, so the DNC doesn't seem to matter to them.

Yeah i think i got a recycled number. Got another call this morning and they actually left a message. Something about forgot something and to bring it. She sounded cute so I might drive to California and bring it to her lol.

For a while my Google Voice number was worse than recycled. It was actually in use by somebodys cellphone. (I had the number first) I blocked the numbers that called, but until the other person changed their number finally, anyone calling it had a 50/50 chance of getting me or them...

Maybe somebody is pranking you. At my work place somebody gave a bunch of people a guys number and they all called hime and texted him random pictures of dicks and other nasty stuff.

Not sure what kind of prank would only have random numbers from Cali though. Weird, have you answered any and asked what they want? Maybe your number is close to a number for a bail agency or something like that?

Ok my wife just told me something interesting. She said california has an area code that's 504 and where I live in va I have 540. So maybe that's the mistake.
