These text started coming in 4 days ago... about 3 to 8 texts a day... just garbage.. looks like programming language.

I am on ATT... Samsung Note 3... NOT rooted... have NOT added any new programs in months.
have not updated any apps in weeks.

I have rebooted.. pulled battery...

it started the day after i got back from vacation.. driving around Texas. Dallas down to South Padre and back.

anyone know what this is.. and how to stop it????

saw this on another thread, seems to be a Samsung thing.

"Go to your messaging, press the menu button to bring up the options, click on settings, then scroll/slide down about 2/3 of the page of the different options and you'll see an option for receiving CB messages. It's Cell Broadcasting messages - basically for testing purposes. Make sure the check mark is off. If the check mark is on, you'll receive Cell Broadcasts."

Found this too -

Cell Broadcasting has been around since before Samsung made phones, as an old way of getting approximate location information on a phone. Used to be used for services that gave different calling rates when at home back in the 90s.

Of course you should never be seeing this in your inbox. That type of foul up may be a Samsung thing ;)

The extent of my expertise in this area is limited to my exceptional GoogleFu skills. I cannot answer this question.
