I have a B II that I rooted back a week after they came out. with the playlogo hack. about three months ago I got a OTA that locked the fone up had to hard reset and lost everything including "root" access. but the Black berry Rim service still works on the fone for the internet. So I've since just left it OEM.
In other words once I got my fone running back to factory settings the BB service still works. I asked T mobile about this and they were shocked too!
anyone else have this "non problem?"
