Best all in one dialer messnger

Been using Google stock messenger on my nexus 6 since I got it 9 months ago Looking to change it up but mainly want to have one icon for all my contact/message needs.

Anyone recommend one and the pros and cons of it. Thanks

Have you tried using Google Hangouts and incorporating all your SMS messaged into it?
