Best Android phone on T-Mobile

Matt V

Lurker
Hey guys, I am going to T-Mobile tomorrow to get a new plan and I don't know what phone to get. I was considering the HTC HD2 but I don't know if I want to deal with WinMo. What would you say is the best Android phone in their lineup? I don't have a choice but this is all I can get, but price isn't an option.

I'm looking forward to your thoughts.

Currently the Nexus One, but you can only order it online from Google. The next best thing though is the MyTouch Slide.

Yeah I can't order it online, I'm gonna go with the "all phones free" offer that T-Mobile is having tomorrow. So basically I gotta deal with what's at the store.

It seems like I'm deciding on the MyTouch 3G. Can someone explain the difference between the MyTouch3G and Slide? Are they basically the same thing minus the physical keyboard?

The myTouch Slide, other than the keyboard, has Android 2.1, better specs all around, and HTC's Espresso UI. It's a hell of a lot faster than the regular myTouch. I'd definitely go with the Slide.

So is there no love for the Garminfone? I was considering that too but it seems like there's no info on it yet.

Google Maps Nav > whatever Garmin's giving you. It also runs on 1.6, and it's got some weird custom UI that pretty much hides what Android is all about. Personally, I don't like it. But hey, to each his own.

I decided to go with the MyTouch3G Slide, I gotta say I'm quite impressed with it so far. I think it's an underestimated phone.
