Best APN Toggle

Hi.
I recently installed switchpro on my HTC Desire.
Im running launcher pro rather than sense and have been a bit baffled over the last 3-4 days about the mobile internet.
I have posted in the htc section but figured i may get more response here as im still struggling too work things out.
Basically, when using sense i could automatically turn mobile data connection on or off via senses toggle.
I understand that when using launcher pro this is not possible... However you can get a toggle to disable the apn settings so that mobile internet stays on but cannot connect.
Does this use up more battery than directly turning mobile internet off via either the sense toggle or via the settings??
Also on switch pro there is a mobile data toggle.
This doesn't directly turn mobile internet off either although it doesn't seem to disable the apns either (because when using an apn toggle next to the apn's in settings it says disabled...it doesn't when using switchpros mobile data toggle)
The mobile data toggle does however work in stopping the mobile internet connecting and when clicking on the toggle does enable me to connect.
So how does this toggle work??
For those of you who use switch pro you will know that in its settings there is an apn check box saying if you cannot connect to the internet check this box.
Im a bit lost as to what to do really.
Do i go back to sense and use the sense widget.
Or leave mobile internet constantly on and enable disable via an apn toggle
Thanks
