So here are the requirements:
1. Records tracks in 3D (includes elevation data made while flying)
2. Stores them in something easy like a GPX or KML file
3. Uses little battery power
4. Is not too difficult to use (for my not too geeky GF)
If it somehow made it easy to upload and share them that would be a plus but not required.
I do not have an android phone or else I could probably figure this out on my own...... ah maybe someday

This might work but it's way overkill, just an app that records the tracks to a file like a regular old Garmin GPS would be perfect. Is there such a thing?
