Best Battery App

I'm looking for a battery app that puts a % value on the green battery bar in the status bar. That's all. I know I have seen something like that before. I don't want it to add a second battery bar to the status bar.

Sorry, bad news. :o

The stock Android OS can't be made to show anything but the battery you're seeing; that's why there are so many widgets out there. I've also seen an app that puts a "notification", which is displayed in the left half of the status bar in addition to the stock icon, but this is what you said you didn't want.

Some mods may have a better icon up there, but I don't have any experience with custom roms. Anyone?

This is for use with the Incredible.

I specifically have seen a battery app that puts a numerical value on the stock battery gauge. I believe it turned the stock battery color white as well.

Look at the BatteryLife widget in the Market, but I'm with KlaymenDK: I don't think you can alter the stock status bar gauge that way. It's too small to display numbers.

Battery Indicator will put a percentage in a battery icon at the top of the screen, but it doesn't alter the stock battery image, it adds its own, against a white background, over on the left of the Notification Bar.

It's possible with some user-modified ROMS running 2.1 Eclair, at least I've seen them for the Acer Liquid.

The only way you can change the stock battery icon is to root the phone. I don't even think the Inc can do that without rooting. I may be wrong though.

jRummy's ROM uses percentage numbers in the stock battery image, but this is for the Droid with root. I'm sure someone will come out with something similar for the incredible once it gets root.
