Best bluetooth headphones/earbuds

I'm looking at bluetooth headphones and wondering what the group thinks are the best ones.

These two caught my eye:
Sony Ericsson HBHDS980

  • oled screen
  • displays caller id/music info
  • can hang from neck(Though some may argue aesthetics on that part :p )
Sony Ericsson HBHDS205

  • Can use own headphones/earbuds
I've seen others, Jaybird has a new model coming out that looks ok, and etymotic research has an interesting model, completely wireless(independent units for each ear) yet kinda boxy. But those are kinda pricey and still have the borg/uhura look which I dont think will catch on. I think while writing this I know which one I want, but if the group shows me something better, I'll start saving my pennies.
 
I mainly use the over-the-ear Sony DR-BT50. I carpool to work in a piece of construction machinery so i need the audio isolation, and just do not dig the "ear bud" thing anymore.

The BT50's are pretty sweet, they include a mic so you can take a call with them, buttons so you can play/pause/ff/rw your music, change the volume and change folders. The buttons are on the small side. Of course Sony can't charge off of USB like everyone else, so it includes a wall wart that won't power any other device you own. They sound good enough but I'm hardly an audiophile. ~$150

I had a pair of these and after about 4 months of daily use (Walking t'dog) i found the left earpiece lost all it's bass. The build quality is not what it should be for the price and the base part just feel empty.. like it should be half the size. Sound was OK though, as was battery life.

I've been interested in these for quite a while, specifically as they can be bought for very little $$$. But I've heard bad things, I believe on AVForums. I'm personally going to buy this style of "choose your own buds" for my next BT earphone product but one with a better DAC than this.
 
I have the motorola s-9 bluetooth headphones and am happ with them. The s-9hd claims to have better noice cancelling feature but havent tried them.
 
looking too - haven't found an answer but planning to get the jaybird (jaybirdgear.com). If anyone else has tried that with OS3 please shout.
 
Let us know how you like them. I have the Motorokr S9-HD and at first they seemed a bit uncomfortable, but now I love them I am at the gym about an hour and a half a day and couldn't imagine working out without them.
 
i have the moto s-9 and it is the worst thing i have ever used, i'm sure for someone who isn't doing alot of moving around they work fine but i work out religously and my head is constantly being pressed up against padding on machines and i am moving around alot. the bar running across the back causes this set to get ripped off of my head as soon as i lay down on the bench. also they bounce out of possition during cardio... not one size fits all. might fit one person perfectly...
 
I also use the Jabra BT3030. You can get them for around $25. I use my own favorite headphones with it. Mostly I use it for working out and use a BlueAnt otherwise.

There is an I-Tunes compatible mp3 player built into a FULLY waterproof headset [can swim with it] with a voice navigation system for browsing the music, and bluetooth also. The advantage is that you can put a good chunk of your music directly onto the headphones and in that way you get much better browsing of your albums, playlists, individual tracks and FF and REW within a track via the voice cues. You can still stay connected to your phone though for a call.
Bluetooth headsets currently only offer one track at a time browsing via AVRCP. For me the Mi-Sport seems a lot better.
 
I Have heard the Motorola suffers from signal drop out, is not sweatproof and can be an uncomfortable fit. These in ear styles on a frame seem to not fit everyone.

I have a large head and they aren't too bad. There is enough give in the plastic for it to flex without putting too much pressure on your ears. After about an hour or so though, they do start to be a bit uncomfortable. I think that is more an issue of the ear pads I'm using though.

I haven't noticed an issue caused by sweat, I wear these when I go to the gym and am going on 9 months without incident.

Overall, the Motorola S9/S9HD is a great headset.
 
I switched to using wireless Bluetooth earbuds, because the wires to my earbuds were always getting caught on things. Sony makes an excellent pair with mic and volume control. It is easy to set up to your phone, even if your phone does not have bluetooth (use a adapter).

How to Make Wireless Earbuds
 
Rocketfish Bluetooth headphones. $59. All controls are on the left headphone. Volume, skip / reverse, pause, phone answer. They fit great. I use them for jogging and working out and they don't fall off or slip and move around. The sound quality is great and a full charge last 10-12 hours. I highly recommend them. Here are a few photos to give you an idea of what they look like.
