Best budget laptop?

Hey guys, these are some of the laptops I'm looking at. My price range is 300-400 dollars. I plan on using it mainly for web browsing, school work, and I'd like to maybe play a few non graphics intense games. I don't plan to carry it around much, but the option to have it be lighter is something I'm open to. Here's my current selection so far, please let me know which is the best of these and if there are any better deals out there.

This one has no optical drive (important to me) but I thought maybe I could buy an external one for cheap.

The microsoft deal was interesting because I need Office. The walmart deal I liked because of the printer, but it might be a bad printer from reading a few reviews. Which of these choices seems the best to you guys? Thanks.

For what you have in mind, any of those laptops would be fine so it's down to things like what else comes in the bundle, the warranty, number of USB ports, whether they have a card reader and of course, which look and feel you prefer.

Just to further confuse you, there are perfectly good, free office suites around and while printers cost peanuts you need to check prices for the ink as - like Gillette with razor handles and blades, printers are often just loss leaders for the consumables.

I would suggest to consider something with Windows 7. Win 8 is a hugr disappointment thats why they already pushed 8.1.

I bought a Refurbished Lenovo from Newegg. It looks like new and functions really well. Newegg open box are a very good deals too.

Windows 8 is that bad, sure it is Windows... But it does a good job if you stay in desktop mode.

I don't want to get into an argument. Please google it yourself. If you just need PC to browse Internet and play some games it might be suitable for you. If you need to run some professional apps it's not for you at all.

The poster did say they need office. But the thing is, every time I head into best buy, or MicroCenter, I never see any Windows 7 computers at all on display. Do computer stores still sell computers with Windows 7 on them anymore, or will the buyer have to buy a physical copy themselves and install it?

This is why I recommend to get refurbished or open box laptop from reputable brand. You can still get Windows 7 and save yourself a hassle reinstalling it. Try Newegg or Fry's

Honestly I don't think OP knows what he really wants. He has a link to netbook, then a laptop with small screen and then another one with much bigger screen.

Sounds like OP is just looking for advice on best bang for the buck, has around $400, and has very minimal requirements. OP seems to be open for suggestions.

OP - I'd go with that Dell. I've had my Inspiron for 5+ years. Still running nice.
