Any one tested a really customizable Rom with tablet ui option and a good kernel for speed and oc links if y'all don't mind just got my nexus 7 yesterday on Friday thanks for any help

I'm running dirty AOKP with the Trinity kernel and it's IMO the best I've ran. Very customizable and easy to install with aroma installer.

Could you link me to any kernels for custom ROMs (cm 10.1 is what I have) any compatible with my Rom

I was looking at that earlier and didn't know what link to click for kernal download
Lol I had the same issue, look for a thread called best ROM and kernel combo someone explained to me and there's screenshots on which one to download

I'm running Xenon and loving it. Kernels are kind of debatable for the N7 right now

How so? Currently running Xenon with Franco r41 stable with good balance of batt and perf. What kernels have you tried that make you go meh?

I've tried the stock kernel, motley, and Lean. Haven't tried Franco but haven't been terribly impressed by any. If anything, they've all made my battery life worse

Fair enough, course it depends on what you use device for and what tweaks you make to kernel settings. Takes a while experimenting with settings via Trickster (Play store) as well, Franco thread has some good pointers to various settings.

Yeah for sure. I use mine N7 for the same thing most people use it for. Facebook, WikiPedia, a couple games here and there. Nothing extremely resource-hogging. But I'm lucky if I can get 4+ hours screen on time. I have a rooted Galaxy Nexus as well so I'm not stranger to roms and kernels, but just haven't hit that sweet spot with this, but I still love it :D
