I am going to go ahead and break the streak here and say.....
ADW Ex launcher.....Just as good, if not better than Launcher Pro Plus, just missing the messager/calendar app. I bought pure grid calendar...the other I don't really use....this launcher has some pretty slick transitions and effects

+1 for go launcher my phone likes it the most and it is free. Launcher pro gets laggy for me and ADW just isn't my cup of tea. Most the LPP widgets have clones on the market as well.

Both Launcher Pro + and ADW EX are stellar launchers. Go EX comes in a close 3rd. I have had some trouble with GO EX sometimes doubling icons or just deleting them upon reboot on my DX, the first Go Launcher (not EX) did not have this last issue.
LP+ has a little lag in screen transitions but that may be due to the fact I have a lot of icons and widgets on my DX. I can't help it.... I'm an app whore.
LP+ has scrollable docks, 3 of them, but I am really starting to like the hidden dock in ADW. The one thing that sets ADW a little higher is Themes, Themes & Themes.
Right now I am loving ADW. But knowing my attention span, or lack of, I may be back to LP+ at any moment. Like others have said, widgets are lacking in ADW & Go EX. But there are plenty of products on the Market to fill that void.
Have not been able to judge battery drain difference between these 3 launchers.
If Go EX fixes some of the minor icon/widget issues, I will probably jump back on the Go ship as it is very fast. I just can't decide.
I did find that ADW has a little steeper learning curve. Both LP+ and Go EX were easy for an Android newbie like me to figure out. I would say it's a coin toss.
Editing icons on Go EX & ADW are easy. I really like the app drawer in Go EX, very functional.
I am looking forward to the LP+ rewrite expected to be out soon. It may be a game changer, or not?
