I've used 3 lockscreens on my phone. [Fascinate]
GOTO, Lock 2.0 and WidgetLocker.
GOTO wasn't that bad. You could have your own wallpaper.
The slider at the bottom had; Messages, Phone, Gmail and unlock.
It had a big box at the top though that had the time, date and weather. Which got in the way for me, so I changed.

Lock 2.0 was the worst though. For me, when I used a personal background with the unlock slider, it would set the image off 'bout 20pixels. It also wasn't a big enough lock screen for my phone. With a large black space at the bottom.

So that was a definite no.
Then I found widget locker. And it's been my favorite so far.
With the other two, if I pressed lock and then pressed it again, my old lockscreen would popup like half a second before the other lockscreen. With WL I don't have that problem, it just comes up and it's fast.
It's so much more customizable. You can add app icons and widgets to your lock screen. Different slider actions. Different slider looks. Like mine for example is the "slide to unlock" type that is famous on the iPhones, etc.

So yes. WidgetLocker Lockscreen is a 10. And so much better than the other two that I've tried.
