Help Best media player on 2.1

I have had a few problems with media players since upgrading to 2.1, Force Closing, slow response, jamming up until the Timescape process is killed. I don't know if it is just me, no-one else seems to be complaining, anyway, these are my findings of the players that work best.

MixZing - excellent, really fast.
Mediascape - works well but the on screen buttons are too small for me.Don't like the start page.
WinAmp - Broken, only plays one tune following install, afterwards force closes.
DoubleTwist - not as fast as MixZing, had a Force Close when I used the the desktop widget
Meridian - the player that I have always used. Very slow on 2.1 on the X10.

Well, i am not sure if there is any problem with WinAmp. It play pretty good, definitely better than MediaScape. The only downside is the lack of equalizer, but the sound is clear and bass is quite good.

PowerAmp (trial version) is another media player on my phone and is the best player in my opinion if you spend some times to play with its equalizer.

My friends said that MixZingis also really good but didn't have time to try it. Maybe I will try it now.

yeh iam using mix zing too. Great music player. My favorite feature is that you can select which folder on the sd card to get music from. So you dont have to worry about playing game sound files or navigation sound files.

Only con is that it sometimes jerks up a bit.

:) Well, i believe WinAmp can do that to. When my phone still used Android 1.6, Astro Player (free version) was my choice, but it cannot keep up with other players when I upgrade my Android to 2.1.

Just trying MixZing(trial) with some of my favorite song. I have to admit that it works quite good. However, I wonder why I have a strong feeling that it drains the battery faster then other players I have.

Big thumbs up for PowerAmp, well worth the purchase price.

Best sounding media player with a great EQ :D

For me this is just the way I like to do things I love mortplayer.

It's a file based music player and has a audiobook version too that intergrates with the mortplayer widget and keeps my music and podcasts/audiobooks separate.

It also has bookmarks and when you leave the audiobook player for a while it will start 10 seconds before the point you stopped listening just to jog your mind which I find really useful you can also change the timing.

It might not be to everyones tastes but even if you don't want the main music player it's handy to have a player that will keep your podcasts/audiobooks separate.

Am I the only one that uses Music Player Pro here?

I like it because:
1. It's themeable! And the themes look great too.
2. 4x4 homescreen widget with album art.
3. Quite light compared to Winamp or Poweramp.
4. Sexy album grid view.
5. Select specific folders that you want to browse (You can do this with pretty much all media players though. For Android stock, just add a ".nomedia" file in the folders that you don't want to touch.)

Seeing the number of people loving Mixzing though, I will be trying it tonight. :-)
