Best Messaging App?

ok I recently got my Droid flashed from Sprint to Metro PCS. When phones are flashed to Metro PCS you can no longer use the stock messaging service to send/receive pics and vids.

I was wondering if anyone knows a way around this so I can use the default program?? If not, is there an app that i can use instead??

I have download an app called "textfree"....but i can only send pics and not receive them. and when I do send a pic it is shown a s a different number sending it, not mine.

Every time I go to open a window to text my friend, the whole app closes. Like it crashes or something or runs out of memory. But I doubt, it ran out of memory, I got like at least 40mb when it does close. And I even re-spring my iPhone (3.1.3 jailbroken).

So, I don’t know, what it could be.

My service was turned off but I still like to use my iPhone for wifi internet and free SMS texting.

I use a 3rd party app called "Handcent" for SMS and MMS. It works really well and totally customizable.
