Hi guys i suppose this is a general question concerning the samsung galaxy s3 regardless of which model or carrier your with. so ive been searching around to buy the best quality screen protector in the market and found lots of cheap ones and bargains on ebay but theres one called XGEAR Tempered Glass Screen Protector and what caught my attention is that it uses temper glass instead of a thin film of plastic, i would like to know what respected forum members think about this product and if anyone has it can they recommend me getting it. i know alot of you guys are going to try to convince me to buy something cheaper or what not but im not interested in price i want the best protection for my gs3 against scratches and dropping. i did order a otter defender case for my gs3 so just incase someone wants to recommend me a case ive already got one on its way.:D anyways leave your thoughts or opinion ill be getting this perhaps next week.

Im also curious about this! haha but I was too lazy to make a thread!

If you do decide to buy one, you should let me know how you do! :) Thanks!

there is a thread on this with many opinions but thats all you will ever get there is no answer to the "best", i use the free one that came with my otterbox commutter and it does the job

I started one thread...even got the Admin people to start a little poll. Tried loads of different protectors, none were perfect.

They either feel good but lift slightly at the S3 curved edge, or fit perfectly but feel a little rubbery.

Then my mate got an S3, just like mine...and I felt the screen without a protector on. You know what they say, no protection is dangerous, but it sure does feel better. I've dumped screen protectors and am just enjoying the phone. As it's insured anyway... etc etc.

I'm sorry about starting another thread that has been posted before I'm totally against it but I searched for best screen protector for the Samsung galaxy s3 and didn't see anything concerning our phone. Suppose the thread was titled in a different way.also I wanted the metro PCs community to have our own sub forum but people that don't even have a gs3 protested so he we are in this sub forum with tons of carriers and gs3... anyways thanks about talking about keeping the screen virgin. But I can't afford to keep the screen naked. Even the deductible is a lil expensive... I did order some lifetime warranty screen protectors but the thought of changing it every so often annoys me lol I just want something to put on leave alone and forget about it.

currently....non :D ive tried a few ala zag and belkin - and both are rubbish imo .... but Zag have just come back to me saying i can upgrade to the invisishield HD - so im going to attempt that (assume they meant for free)

but i do agree - the s3 is at its best without one imo - soooo pretty that screen :)

Don't get it. It's not worth the trouble. I recently ordered one and installed it on my S3. Feels nice at first but then the screen starts to lose its sensitivity. It will gradually become worse and you'll end up pulling it off.

Thanks for that response I suppose I'll stick the lifetime warranty one.

Whatever "free" one came in the box with my Diztronic TPU case is actually pretty good....I didn't think I'd go with a SP but it was there so I thought I'd just try it. It's been on 5 months and still looks great. Adds a SLIGHT amount of rubberiness but not much. For all I know it could be one of those 25 cent ones you can get on Ebay....it didn't have a name brand on it.

What ever came with my OtterBox Commuter case. It feels great, hardly tell the difference from my wifes S3 without one.

True dat. It's just too nice to cover up. Leave it bare and get it insured.

I don't like how it's harder to clean oil from fingers off my screen protector, but I am willing to suffer with them, putting a new one on every so often, until there's six months left in the S3 being my main phone. Then I will take it off and enjoy the glass. That's what I did with my last phone and it worked out well.

I was thinking of going virgin, but I've only had my phone since Wed and I already have some scratches!! I was SOOOOO careful, but I think my ear rings did it without my thinking about it :(.

ouch sorry to hear that but good thing u shared that with the rest of us might be another person out there wondering if they should go with a screen protector or not.

I've been using the Spigen Glas on my S3 for about a month and a half. Its the best screen protector I've ever had. No lag at all and feels just like the bare screen. Highly recommended.

I know this is kinda late, but just a thought,
if your still interested in buying a case, I would highly recommend the UAG case, theres alot of positive reviews on youtube of it, I have it myself and personally I like it much better than the otterbox. Its not as bulky as the otterbox case either but it still has great impact protection. As for a screen protector, you'll only need a scratch resistant and fingerprint resistant one if you have this case, because the case has a lip around the front that protects the screen, check it out.
hope this helped somehow :)

I got 6 for $3 on ebay. ScreenShield is the name. Seemed to have trouble getting one on (the one that came with my otterbox had bubbles) so i got the eBay ones and after 2 tries i got it perfect with not a single bubble or particle.
