Best settings for playing on ZTE V9 Tablet

Hi. I have an ZTE V9 tablet (in New Zealand) and I cannot work out what settings to set when I rip a DVD so I can watch it on the tablet. I have tried AVIs and MP4 and the video works perfectly but there is either no sound or the sound is slow and distorted. Can someone tell me the best settings to setup. I am using "WinX DVD Ripper Platinum".
