Best Sprint Phone Current/Coming Out

i agree, samsung has not been very good with software support of their android devices, but i think they are trying to turn that around with the gingerbread updates and with later devices.

evidence: a google device with nexus s, GB for epic, free device to CM dev, etc.

Can you point me in the direction that says the Epic is going to be getting an update to Gingerbread anytime soon?

a couple of 2.3.3 builds were leaked a month or so ago and ACS had made it available. the second of the build i've read was pretty stable so just speculating/hoping soon like june 20th (rumor again). as for "anytime soon" officially from sprint, haven't heard, as they like to sit on it until the day of release.

Oh, okay. You're talking about rooted phones. I don't use the EPIC on a consistent basis and that phone isn't rooted. General consumers is what I'm thinking of.

You dont need to be rooted to install the leaked 2.3 build because it's just like installing an official 2.3 update

Oh, gotcha, so it's a leaked unofficial update. I see.

But, my main point is that's not something the general consumer would know about.
