Best UK Network and Upgrade or wait?

Which do you think is the best UK network overall?

I am on orange atm, I could upgrade to the htc desire on the 16th, should I do so, and flash, root etc, or wait for the end of my contract, 19th September, and see what is available then?

I'm pretty sure you could upgrade through the Carphone Warehouse and get an unlocked, unbranded Desire, but I'd wait for some confirmation from someone else...

I've heard that aswell, however I wouldn't get as good an offer from them. I could probably get an awesome offer from orange if I tell them I'm leaving

I'm on 3. My contract is up in August but i can upgrade now. I have an N900. I can get an HTC Desire from 3 or an Iphone. I reckon i could sell te desire or Iphone and the N900 and buy a sim free unbranded Galaxy S.

What do you think?

Btw i like the 3 network I told them i was leaving and they're like ALL over me lol

Depends whether you are talking about network coverage, price, service downtime or customer service?

Overall I'd have to say GiffGaff (which uses the O2 network) but you didn't include them.

Second from that I'd say T-Mobile. Last would have to be 3 for sure, they fail at all 4 points.

You included Orange and T-Mobile together but T-Mobile is more competitive, especially when it comes to mobile data.
