Better cut compatible

Hi, I am looking to customize my icons for direct message direct dial, to the best of my knowledge better cut can do this, however i have heard it is not compatible with launcher pro beta that i use, so does anyone know what it is compatible with? also what size do i need to make my icons and what format do i save them in?

I came acrossed the same problem with ADW launcher. Try Folder Organizer Lite on the Market. More complicated then BetterCut, but worked. It's free, but I bought the paid app.
