Help Better Keyboard App

I have a Droid Pro and I purchased the Better Keyboard app and put it as the input method, but the keyboard does not show up. I downloaded both Better Keyboard 8x and 7x. Any suggestions on why it doesn't work and how to fix it.

That's a virtual screen keyboard and I've yet to see one that actually works on the dp.
