Better Keyboard makers ripped off

Realism51

Lurker
I am trying to figure out a way to get a refund from the better keyboard 8 makers, "better android". So far all attempts at emails have led to no contact or reply, I purchased their app back in May of 2011 and have since upgraded my phone and found out that they have been removed from the Google Market and thus can not redownload the software. The amazon store app requires me to purchase it again, however I am not wanting to repay for an app no matter how good it may or may not be, I bought it once and I am entitled to its use.
Google can not issue a refund, and since I can not get in touch with the developers I can not have a refund issued or the program that I paid for pushed to my phone.
Does anyone know of another contact form other than the gmail account that they neglect to answer. I know it may seem petty, but for the principle of the matter is that thousands of android users have been bilked out of $2.99 with no recourse but to repurchase the software through Amazon. Last count I remember was some 200,000+ downloads, thats $600,000 stolen.
Im really upset about this and if I am unable to get in touch with the developers to either get the app pushed to my phone or a $2.99 refund so I can repurchase the app through amazon, I will have no choice but to attempt either find them by IP address or subpoena for records, and begin a class action lawsuit and force the refund plus my personal fees for enjoining a suit against them.
So does anyone have any contact information or thoughtful recourse?

Are you sure it's been completely removed from the Market, or is it just not appearing because it's not listed as compatible with your new device? At any rate, I can't see that Google or the developers owe you a refund just because you changed your device, but it seems like a reputable developer ought to be willing to try and accomodate you with an .apk, if you ask politely and nonconfrontationally.

You bought a digital copy of the app, then deleted your copy by upgrading your phone.

This is the same as legally paying and downloading a game off of the internet, deleting it, then demanding that they make it available for you again, for free.

Which they should, you've paid your licence.

Yeah its not showing on the Web version of the android market, which would show everything, regardless of compatability.

They removed it due to continued copyright issues with some of their skins. It would be nice of them to give you a new apk, but I don't see them handing out refunds. They would lose a lot of money. I was in the same boat as you, but realized Better keyboard is not even worth it to me. There are keyboards that work way better for me, like SwiftKey. The only thing I really liked about Better keyboard is that I had a pretty font and color to enjoy as I typed.

Just inquiring, are you usingthe same email address on the new phone as you did with the old phone?

I disagree, having a license doesn't mean the seller has promised they'll keep a copy for you.

If you bought a license to use that app for that phone, then yes, the developer should provide you a copy of that app to be only used for that phone. It would be different if he was trying to install it in another product. That is how it has been for me when my phone crashed- due to an experimental app and had to do a hard reset- and simply request it- it has been NO PROBLEM.
