I just got what I believe to be my first ad in facebook messenger which came from a BetterHelp chat bot.

As you can see in the attachments... I don't like them on Facebook!

Any way to opt out of these intrusive messages? Anyone else get them yet?

Not suffered this yet, but I never believed they would limit it to companies you have liked (if they did I'd be safe as I have never liked any company on FB).

I know FB are all about the money and the users are just product, but I can't believe that they really think that spam messages will do anything other than drive people away from the platform.
