there was a theme up for review in the challenge app (cant think of the name right now) and it boasts giving you a whole new look and feel on your home screen. when uninstalled this app will stay present and consume your home and will FC your screens setting in menu. i had to reboot back to original after using this crap app.

The same thing happened to me. I have an Eris. I had all my contacts linked, everything arranged the way I liked it. And for fun I was trying a stupid skin/scenes thing. Now, I only have 3 screens (instead of 7) and all of my saved preferences are gone. It seems like Driod is boasting all these Apps on Marketplace... but you can't trust them.

To make it all worse, I just spent 25 minutes on the phone with Verizon and HTC trying to get it back to normal. Verizon transferred me to HTC and then after explaining, being put on hold, explaining again-- HTC told me that I should call Verizon about a factory reset. When I said that Verizon had just transferred me, the guy would just keep repeating the same, "Unfortunately, I can't help you with this there are problems that only Verizon can help you with." If Americans added up all the minutes that they spent on the phone, going through phone trees, waiting on hold, explaining and re-explaining, giving their information again... it would add up to so much time. So much wasted time.

i wonder if they have an app to count how many minutes you spend worthlessly trying to get through to sprint customer service :D

Ya... seriously. And just to finish the story. I called Verizon (add another 10 minutes) and of course it was the simplest thing. I push a button in the security settings and start over. So, 35 minutes of my life on the phone with Verizon and all I get in return is back to where I started.

But ya, I guess the moral of the story is be careful with downloading apps from marketplace.

i totally agree with this... i had the same problem but a different program... i uninstalled every app after my phone kept force closing on the home screen and even did a factoryy reset and it was still stuck there lol. force closing as usual... when an app is developed there should be a guy somewhere that tests these apps to make sure they dont mess ur phone up... id like to know that these apps are legit and not phone breaking worthy :) hell id even take that job if i could XD
