BIG Deezer problem

Back when I was using the coolpad canvas, deezer kept shoving a free trial at me. I finally gave in and tried it. It's not my style and I canceled, or thought I did. Now I find out part of the reason for my lack of funds is that they have kept charging me all this time. Yeah, I know I should have looked earlier, but it just didn't occur to me that could have happened. How do I get these jerks to quit stealing my money for nothing and maybe get what I'm owed repaid?

At least you've heard of it. I wish I never had. I submitted something called a webform, or at least I hope I did. It asked what kind of subscription I had. How would I know? It's been months and months. Finally I just chose premium because that might have been it Has anyone on here had any experience with them? Especially if you figured how to get them to stop, please let me know. I'm probably just going to stick to mp3s. .

I got into a "chat" with someone who claimed that there was no account with that email address. Then how was I charged $9.99 this August for something I haven't used for months and months? I guess it froze at that point because there were no more answers. Is there a phone number for them?

Quite frankly if eventually you can't get a refund or charge-back from Deezer. Take it as a lesson learned I think, and in future always check your credit card statements diligently, and account for every transaction. Also use caution with any free trials that require credit card details for registration. If you cancel, absolutely make sure it's cancelled, and confirm in writing if necessary. Some things like AOL used to be notorious for containing to charge for supposedly cancelled subscriptions, after the free trials expired.

Can he contact his credit card company and cancel any more charges to Deezer? Or would that be some breech of contract with Deezer? I don't know as I've never had
to do that type of action

He should be able to do that and block any future debits to Deezer.

I've never used Deezer myself of course, but from what I've read I don't think they have any minimum contract commitments.

Yeah, I thought about whether I could just somehow block or cancel payments. How would I get any back money I'm owed, though? Would a lawsuit work? It might even be class action because I bet I'm not the only one. Probably their being in France would make it tougher. Maybe Cricket could get sued too, ha ha.

These subscription people usually have a tight control on the sign up and cancellation terms and conditions, and if you didn't follow them to the letter I think you will have some difficulty in getting back what you have paid. There should be no problem in cancelling future payments. You can normally do that within any monthly period of the subscription but you don't get any credit for days left in that subscription period.

EDIT.. I don't know why I picked this up, it's going back to 2018!!

Ignore me, I've lost the plot!!!!!!
