Help big problem with wifi of my xperia e

it has been 1 year since I bought it. Earlier it would easily connect to wifi networks but now from past 4-5 months, it just keeps me showing 'searching for wifi networks'' even for my personal wifi connection....
Someone please help.... lso help me with updating it...The update had arrived long back but even after trying 5-6 time also...it doesn't get updated....it takes more than 2 hours but still the installation processs is not completed...

PLEASE HELPPP!!!

Did you try turning off phone, unplug your router, plug it back in, turn on phone?
