if i buy the nexus one for att, will the market be locked down similar to how it is on the moto backflip?
i really just want to get the full android experience since all my friends have androids and they keep telling me to get one.

thanks in advance. ;)

You'll be able to use it on just about any GSM network, BUT I believe it only has the correct antenna for AT&T 3g so dont expect to take it to tmobile.

The device won't be locked down, so you will be able to install non-market apps.

However, ATT could very easily cripple & filter the market.

I can see that happening >.>;

Considering AT&T won't have access to the N1's OS and updates I'm not sure how they could filter the market like that. Google hosts the market if I'm not mistaken.

They may host the market, but the carrier can still filter it.

AT&T may be able to stop traffic to the site when on the 3g network (though I seriously doubt they would do that), but they will never be able to stop you from going to the market when on wifi. Seriously, I doubt they will do anything that would hinder the experience on the Nexus One except possibly limit the data plan.

Depends on the apk on your phone. Like Tmobile market, and MY market on my moment, are different. They have a Tmobile button where my Downloads button would be.
