Alright guys

I have a Advent t9 at the minute, P4ht 1.5 gig ram DDR1, thing is i have the chance to upgrade this fella to a custom built with a FOXCONN n15235 MOBO in it, its a socket 775 i was wondering would this be ok to put a dual core in ?.. or am i best of keeping the mobo i have ?

Why not just replace the whole machine?

How much is the motherboard?

What CPU are you planning on putting in? See here Sure you can put a core 2 duo in it, but then its hardly worth the upgrade if you're going to put something not that powerful and that old in it. So you're gonna have to go Xeon or core 2 quad or at least core 2 extreme. Not going to be cheap.

You don't want a RAM bottle neck so you'll need to replace what you have if it even fits, with more. These upgrades aren't cheap.

Quick scan on ebay and you can get a desktop with i7 quad and 4GB DDR3 for

Thats what i was thinking of doing any ways just buying a full new machine al together, Thank you for your help, The pc that i was gettin was a swap for my T9, But on doing som research and stuff the board in the new machine the FOXCONN one people are saying that its not com with a dual core, Thats all i was wondering if any one has had the same problem. It was goin go cost me around
