Having the Droid Razr, I just bit the bullet and bought the Moto X, losing unlimited data in the process, and going with the Edge Max.

I recently did the same thing. I watched my data usage for a few months and never went over 4 GB so it was worth it for me to give up unlimited and not have to pay full price anymore (I had already done so once). My bill did end up going up a little because I lost some of my workplace discounts going to the new plan.
