Does anybody know if it's possible to turn off or reprogram bixby button?

I've read that you can reprogram the button, but with each update it would be reprogrammed back to bixby. However this was pre-bixby release.

XDA forums would be a good place to hunt for mods or work around. Try the below for a start position:
