Hey It would be nice if they could take that bar code scanner and make an app that uses that same technology to scan biz cards and have them be stored in your contacts.
 
Try the two Alchemy products in the market. Then maybe write the developers and tell them your thoughts. It is a great suggestion.

The Alchemy apps do OCR.
