Phone was working fine earlier today. Took the phone out of my pocket and the screen was black (Just the backlight was on). Powered it off and back on and all it does is vibrate once and the screen stays black. This has happened to me before and I had opened up the phone and cleaned it out and it worked again. Tried to clean it today and no luck. Still just vibrates once and stays at a black screen.

How do you power it off if the screen is black?
By removing the battery....

Well, hoping you’re not rooted, if you ever see the screen again, I suppose a factory reset would be in order. Don’t know if there’s a way to do that with hard buttons.

I never rooted, but I believe you have to be rooted to flash. Maybe someone else here is paying attention...

Is there a Cricket store near you? Perhaps they know a trick.
There is but actually just decided to switch services to Verizon and got myself an iPhone. Thanks for the help though
