Help Black transparent bar upper in portion of video when recording w/ s3...

hey guys, maybe this is normal, i'm kind of new to smartphones/video. I was recording some footage at a concert last night and I noticed there was a black transparent bar across the upper portion of the screen. i noticed it on the s3 as i was recording, and it can be seen in this video on youtube:

I don't think the video starts with it, but at 1:43 onwards it's pretty obvious. maybe something to do w/ the flash? is this normal? maybe because I kept zooming in/out?

Does it do it on every video you shoot?
How about bright videos vs dark videos (shown)?

Not sure what's causing it. I was using burst mode trying to capture lightning during a storm at night and I noticed some BAD banding on some of the images. It may be an issue with the SIIIs shutter. Not sure, hopefully more will chime in.

doesn't appear in the one non-flash video I have. it's not always there, just sometimes.
