Blank pop-up freezes phone when wifi/data is on

Hi everyone, hope someone can help!

Since yesterday, a blank popup box appears the second I turn on wifi or data, and won't leave until I restart the phone (offline obviously or it comes back). I can use the volume & power keys, the home/back/toggle bottom keys and the pull-down menu at the top but the touchscreen is totally disabled.

I've tried rebooting in safe mode, force quitting apps (nothing looks dodgy), I've cleared the cache... Nothing. I can't download a malware scanner because well, can't turn on the internet & still use the phone.

I'm running Android 7.0 with everything up to date as far as I know.

Any ideas before I reset to factory settings?? Thanks in advance!

Yes I did! It was a problem with the "Peel Remote" app (bloatware) so I removed all its permissions and it's fixed now. Good luck with yours!
