BlazeSpace: Game Engine Feedback Appreciated

Hello all!

I recently have been working on a fast, 2d physics game engine using Air for Android.

The engine is written in Actionscript 3 and runs on Android 2.2+ with Adobe Air installed.

My first game is a simple Asteroids style shooter:

I'm looking for technical feedback: phone, experience (smooth/jerky), etc...

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to review my demo!!!

Doesn't seem like it would be hard to run on many platforms. It ran smooth on my Droid X. However, there were borders at the left and right side of my screen, like playing a movie at a different aspect ratio than the TV is designed to show. The rest of my displeasure of the game were more gameplay related, which I assume you'd clean up after the technical side is done.

Sorry, not willing to run anything that requires Air unless it's of absolutely astonishing quality. An extra 18 MB of internal storage is simply not acceptable when I haven't seen a single game made with Air that looks as if there's no way it could be done with some other method. Developers - even indie developers - need to think of the convenience, or lack of it, to the end user as well as themselves.
