Blockbuster files bankruptcy

Now that Blockbuster has filed bankruptcy (although chapter 11), how in the heck do you get the app uninstalled on the D2 and Droid X?

The fees for watching movies are a little overpriced since Netflix announced a "streaming only plan" lastweek which would include Android and the Yuckphone. Netflix would charge about $5/month for unlimited streaming to phones/xbox/PS3 etc...but that's about what Blockbuster is charging for ONE movie.

Anyone have any insight on this?

Thanks

Bankruptcy is not at all synonymous with "going out of business". They'll be around for a while yet, even with their awful business plan and pricing structure. And even after they finally go outta business, that damn app is going to haunt you...

tried renting a movie once for a flight and license expired before 24 hours was over. i called cust service and they suggested power cycling the phone. brilliant. gave it a try for giggles but of course didnt work. uninstalled app after that.

Even thought Blockbuster sucks and filled for bankruptcy, they will still be around for a while. So, the only way to get the app off your phone is still rooting.

I am rooted, but do you have a link or FAQ as to how to get all the bloatware off the phone?

Thanks

IMO the safest way is to use Titanium Backup's FREEZE feature. However if you wish to completely remove the pre-installed items, check out the Root subforums where the several threads have discussed the cleaning of apps.

Here's a list that the D2 users have been borrowing from DX users:

Yes, I use freezing and I did freeze the amazon app. It does not show up in my app drawer. Try thawing it and freezing it again.
