Blocking Mode App

Hi all,

Does anyone know if there is an app out there that will do the same as blocking mode did on my S3?

I work nights Sometimes and need an app to only allow notifications, calls, texts from certain people (ie, the wife and sons nursery). I don't want to be woken up by random calls, just if it's important.

Thanks in advance for your help

What does blocking mode do exactly? Sorry, I'm not well informed on the "features" that come on skinned devices since going totally aosp two years ago.

"Call Control" is a great app, but its not working on 4.4 yet, I have emailed the devs though and hope to get an answer soon, I'll post here if I here anything.

Call control is working for me.
What part of call Control is suppose to not be working?

The unfortunate thing about all of these do not disturb type apps is that it doesn't seem like any of them have integrated with tasker. They all work on a fixed time schedule that you must set in the app. I had a solution on my note 2 that used a Tasker plugin that could set and cancel the Samsung blocking mode as part of a Tasker task. That allowed me, when I executed a task that set my alarm clock for the next morning, to begin blocking mode then, not on a set specific time. So far, I have not found anything like this that will work on the Nexus 5.

Vandyman, did you have to side load it? Its listed as not compatible with my nexus 5 on Google play?
Do you know where to get the apk? I've already paid for it on my SGS2.

I extracted it from my retired Galaxy Nexus using Titanium Backup.
Maybe that is why I can use it on the Nexus 5.

I have now extracted an apk using Astro on my SGS2 and installed it on the Nexus 5 ok. It seems to be working ok as well, but still shows as incompatible in the play store.

cheers.
