blue arrow navigation app

Hi, welcome to Android Forums.

The blue arrow icon was a shortcut to Google Navigation which was and still is an integral part of Google Maps. The blue arrow disappeared for a lot of users when Google updated Maps to version 7, but navigation can still be accessed from within the Maps app. You can also create your own shortcut/s.

Some users see version 7 as a backward step and have reverted to version 6, to do this just follow the procedure given here :- http://m.cnet.com/news/revert-back-to-previous-version-of-google-maps-on-android/57597656?ds=1

This is purely a matter of personal choice. I've decided to stay with version 7, and the more I use it the more I like it, and I think Google will take note of the feedback and we will see improvements coming through.
